These boards are made using small pieces of wood that have been joined together by cutting several meshing wedges or “fingers” into two adjacent pieces and joining them together to form longer pieces of wood. These are held in place by applying a structural adhesive after the pieces have been joined together.
The difference between a finger Joint and a butt joint board is where the finger grooves are located. Finger joints are located on the face and are very visible whereas butt joints are located on the sides and aren’t as visible as finger joints
